Festa Brasil International Fundraiser

I was involved in a charity fundraising event with the organisation ConeXação, raising funds for two children’s cancer charities, one based in Salford, UK and Sao Paulo, Brazil. The event, based in Manchester, was an exhibition of Brazilian culture in the form of a Brazilian party, with typical decoration, drinks and music to reflect the theme.

As an active member in the organisation, I volunteered to design the logos, signage, and promotional posters & flyers for the event.

Live It, Love It, Lincoln

I was approached to produce a promotional poster for the opening event of the newly formed Pecha Kucha organisation in Lincoln, UK.

The event, named ‘Love It, Live It, Lincoln’, the invited speakers from the local community to speak on a range of diverse subjects.

The design brief, largely open to artistic license, asked for visual reference to the range of topics covered in the talks, as well as to current events happening in Lincoln at the time.

Artist Promotional Material

I was approached by British folk artist, Matt Montez, to produce the promotional imagery for the release of a new album and tour.

With the release of a new album, the client wished to create a unifying look for the duo, making reference to their music’s earthly, natural connections which would distinguish themselves from the plethora of other artists with whom they share the folk music scene.

Couchsurfing Lincon UK

For 4 years, I headed up the organisation of the local Couchsurfing Lincoln group and its regular weekly meeting. The meeting provides an opportunity for local residents in Lincoln, both natives and internationals, as well as visitors to the city to meet locally and informally and chat, share stories and experiences and plan weekend trips.

The organisation of the group required the design of logos and promotional material, as well as the regular maintenance of event calendars, profiles, and social media accounts.

Couchsurfing Social + Intercambio, Mendoza

After relocating to Mendoza, Argentina, I began to organise a weekly social meeting as part of the international platform Couchsurfing following the successes of my time in Lincoln. The event provided an opportunity for local residents and travellers to meet, practice languages, chat, and share travel experiences.

The events, held every Thursday, were organised as an informal ‘language exchange’ for those wishing to practise, free of charge, a second language in a casual, relaxed format. With a willing number of locals wishing to learn and improve their English, and a constant English-speaking tourist population willing to improve their Spanish, all that was left was to bring together an equal number of each side.

Experiencia Vital, Mendoza

I was commissioned by Experiencia Vital Mendoza to produce a new design look for the space, which would include logos and promotional material to be carried across all product packaging, as well as published videos and social media marketing.

Experiencia Vital is a therapy space, specialising in holistic therapy centred around Indian Ayurveda and Japanese Reiki. The holisitc approach incoporates massage, yoga, and aromatherapy to assist patients in emotional and physical healing, to complement conventional methods of medicine.
